Scheduling and recurring work
Review upcoming content, approvals, and recurring blog work in OffPress.
Open Scheduling in the main OffPress sidebar. Scheduling is an OffPress service for your site, separate from Content Admin.
Plan a task
Use the Scheduling conversation to describe the content, its source material, and the result you want. Start a New session for a separate topic.
Draft a short post about our beginner workshop using /workshops. Leave it for my review before publishing.
Review the result for facts, links, dates, and images. A request in chat is not proof that a schedule was saved or a post was published.
Set recurring work
- Describe the task and give the days, time, and time zone.
- Say whether each result needs approval before publishing.
- Review the saved item under Coming up.
- Check its next run and whether it says Review before publishing or Publishes automatically.
Every Monday at 9 am, America/Toronto time, draft one workshop tip using our existing information. Require my approval before publishing.
Automatic recurring publishing currently supports blog posts. Plan newsletters and other content in chat; do not assume every task type has automatic recurring delivery.
Review drafts
Open Ready for your review, choose Review in chat, and inspect the complete draft. A publisher can approve it. Approval can publish the content, so check the destination and the whole draft first.
Content in progress lists recent work. Use All posts to open the content editor.
Change or pause a schedule
Choose Discuss in chat on the schedule. Describe the change, send the request, and check that the timing or paused state was updated. Changing the conversation alone does not confirm the schedule changed.
Scheduled work needs permission and an available work balance. Resolve any displayed run error before relying on the next occurrence. See Work limits. For traffic and completed work, open Activity.
