Newsletters and subscribers

Connect a signup form, review subscribers, and prepare an email.

Use Content Admin to manage the subscriber list and OffPress Scheduling to work on newsletter content and sending setup.

Add a signup form

  1. Open Content or Content/Store and select Workspace → Forms.
  2. Create or open a signup form with an email field.
  3. Set its email purpose to Newsletter signup and save.
  4. Ask in Site Design to add that form to the page where people should subscribe.
  5. Submit a test signup with an address you control.

Check the subscriber list

Open Workspace → Newsletter in Content Admin when it is available for your role. The Signup forms section lists connected forms. The subscriber list shows email addresses, names when supplied, and join dates.

Use the Status filter to switch between subscribed and unsubscribed contacts. Use Unsubscribe to stop sending to a contact. Existing subscribers at another provider are not imported automatically.

Prepare an email

Open Scheduling and describe the audience, subject, and content you want. Ask for a draft to review before sending.

Draft a newsletter for our workshop subscribers about the new Saturday class. Use the details on /workshops. Show me the subject and message before sending anything.

Read the message, test its links, and check the audience. Follow the setup and approval steps shown by OffPress.

Check sending setup

Sending requires a ready sending domain. Ask OffPress to check the site’s email setup and follow the domain instructions it provides. If DNS records are required, add the exact records shown at your domain provider, then check again.

Do not treat a saved draft as a sent email. Read the sending result. If sending fails, fix the reported setup issue and check whether anything was sent before retrying.
