Import an existing site

Enter your website address, create your account, and open your preview.

You can start with your website address or create an account first. Your existing website stays where it is while OffPress builds a preview. Imported sites use their full source domain, such as woodside.farm, as the initial site name. You can rename the site later in OffPress Settings without changing its address.

Start with your website address

  1. Open offpress.ai.
  2. Enter your website address in the URL box and select Upgrade my site free.
  3. The migration screen opens and work begins. Create your account in the form beside the progress report. If you already have an account, choose the sign-in option there.
  4. Stay on this screen until your site is saved to your account. The preview opens when both your account and the preview are ready.

You do not need to enter the address again on a separate start page. The URL boxes on the audience pages use the same flow.

Create an account first

  1. Select Create account at the top of the OffPress website.
  2. Finish creating your account.
  3. From your sites area, open the new-site screen. If you have no sites yet, this screen opens for you.
  4. Choose Start with an existing site, enter the address, and submit it.

Use Create a new site if you do not have a website to import.

Open and review the result

The preview is a working copy for you to review. It does not replace the website at your current domain. The first import may cover only the homepage and key pages. Open Next steps to see what remains, then follow Finish the import.

Check your main pages, navigation, images, and mobile layout. Then follow Review an imported site before publishing.

If the import needs attention

Read the message on the migration screen. If it offers a retry, use that control for the same migration. A password-protected or blocked source page may need to be made accessible before it can be imported.

If you have already saved the site, return to it from Sites. For other problems, see Troubleshooting.

Still need help? Contact OffPress with your site name and what you were trying to do.
