Manage your sites

Open Sites and choose the workspace you want to manage. A missing site may belong to another workspace or may be in the removed-sites list.

Rename a site

1. Open the site and select Settings → Basic.
2. Edit Site name and select Save name.
3. If needed, change its OffPress address separately and select Save address.

Changing the site name does not change all the text and branding on its pages. Ask in Site Design if those also need updating.

Remove a site

Use the site’s remove control in the sites list and read the confirmation. Removal pauses scheduled work and moves the site into the removed-sites area for the retention period shown.

Only remove a site when you no longer need its normal service. Read the current confirmation before proceeding.

Restore or permanently delete

Expand Removed sites and choose Restore before the displayed time runs out. Open the restored site and review its publishing state and schedules.

Delete permanently removes the site and its content, database, settings, and live address. It asks you to type the site identifier. There is no recovery after permanent deletion.

Hand a site to someone else

Use a site transfer when a client or another person should own the site and pay for its future hosting and work. Follow Transfer a site, rather than sharing your account password.
