Customer and member accounts
Enable visitor sign-in under Site settings and distinguish it from staff and OffPress accounts.
Site accounts are the shared sign-in for customers and members of your website. They are separate from your OffPress team account and from the site’s staff users.
Enable site accounts
- Open Content or Content/Store in OffPress.
- In Content Admin, choose Site settings.
- Under Account settings, select Open account settings.
- Enable site accounts, choose whether new registration is allowed, and save.
- Open
/accounton the website and test the visitor flow.
Confirm email verification, sign-in, sign-out, and recovery with an address you control. Account emails need working delivery.
Accounts and customers
Applications → Site accounts contains visitor identities when available. Store → Customers presents those existing accounts with email addresses and linked order history. There is no separate customer-profile creation step. See Customers and purchase history.
Users contains site staff. OffPress team permissions control collaborators working through OffPress. Do not use a customer account as a staff login.
Add a member area
Enabling sign-in does not automatically protect arbitrary pages or create a paid membership. Describe the restricted content and access rules in Site Design, then test signed-out visitors, members, and people without access.
Move existing memberships
Imported pages do not mean old passwords, memberships, subscriptions, or access rules have transferred. Plan those separately before moving your domain. Disabling registration is also different from deleting existing identities or purchase history.
