Troubleshooting

Find the next step when an import, preview, edit, or publish does not work.

Read the message shown in OffPress first. It often identifies a missing setting, a permission, or a request that needs to finish.

An import will not start or finish

Check the website address and whether the original site opens publicly. If you started from a URL box, finish creating your account or sign in on the migration screen so the site can be saved.

Use the retry control offered for the existing migration. If the site is saved, reopen it from Sites instead of submitting the same address as a new import.

The preview is blank or out of date

Wait for current work to finish and refresh the preview. Check the page address you are viewing. If a recovery or repair control appears, read its message and use it for that problem.

If only one page fails, include that path in your follow-up request. Compare the preview and the live site separately; they can have different code versions.

A content edit does not appear

Check that you saved the right item. Save draft does not publish a new page or post; use its explicit Publish action when ready. For an already-published item, Save changes can update the public page. Then refresh the page. Some imported layouts use text in site code rather than the field you edited. Ask OffPress to check that page and field.

See Edit pages and posts for the difference between content and site code.

Work will not start

Check for an active request, a paused work limit, insufficient balance, or missing permissions. Select the correct workspace in Billing. A pending site transfer can also pause new work.

Publishing or a domain fails

Check the publishing dialog for hosting capacity, permission, or build errors. Follow Publish your site. If the OffPress address works but your own domain does not, follow Connect a custom domain.

Content Admin will not open

Wait for any editor-preparation message to finish, then select Try again if offered. Close and reopen Content Admin after a reported deployment or repair. Make sure your role includes content access. If your browser reports that it cannot keep the Content Admin session, check its site-cookie settings or try another browser.

Missing records or database errors after import

A preview can exist while content preparation or a follow-up import is incomplete. Check Next steps and the current import status. If an error names a missing database table or field, report the exact error and site; repeatedly creating migrations or recreating records is not a repair. Keep the existing site and useful data in place.

Inbox or Business knowledge is missing

Inbox is in the main OffPress workspace, outside the CMS. Business knowledge is inside Inbox and appears only after activation. Check store access if Inbox itself is unavailable. For replies or email delivery, review Inbox settings and the channel’s error; see Inbox.

Customers, variants, or tickets have moved

Use Store → Customers for account emails and linked orders. Configure variants and paid downloads from the product’s Options & delivery tab. Issued-ticket tools appear with Orders when tickets exist and your role permits access. See Customers and Manage orders.

Contact support

Use Contact. Include the site name, page address, what you tried, what you expected, and the visible error. A screenshot helps show the problem. Leave passwords, payment details, and API keys out of the message.

Still need help? Contact OffPress with your site name and what you were trying to do.
