Find your way around
Understand the OffPress workspace, your site’s CMS, and where each kind of work belongs.
OffPress helps you work on a website. Content Admin manages the content and applications inside that website. They have different responsibilities.
Your sites area
Choose a workspace, then open a site from Sites. A workspace groups sites, team access, billing, and work balance. Use Workspace settings for people and ownership, and Billing for hosting and work allowances.
The OffPress workspace
| Area | Use it for |
|---|---|
| OffPress | Discuss goals and plan work for the site. |
| Site Design | Change layouts, navigation, styling, and site features; inspect the preview. |
| Content or Content/Store | Open the site’s Content Admin and work on its content. |
| Scheduling | Review recurring content work, upcoming runs, and drafts awaiting approval. |
| Activity | Review traffic, visitor engagement, recent changes, and related conversations. |
| Inbox | Handle website chats and connected support email with OffPress. |
| Settings | Manage the site name, addresses, work settings, service keys, GitHub, and code. |
| Publish | Release the current site code and design to the public website. |
Inbox, Scheduling, and Activity are OffPress tools. You do not open them through the CMS. Inbox and customer conversations explains activation and replies.
Inside Content Admin
Workspace contains the content overview, Content, Media library, and Site settings. Forms, Form submissions, Payments, Users, and Newsletter appear when installed and permitted.
Stores have their own Store section with Products, Orders, Customers, and store settings. Variants and paid downloads are configured within a product. Ticket tools appear with orders when issued tickets exist.
Other installed applications can add their own lists. Your permissions and the site’s features determine which controls appear.
Sessions and settings
Saved conversations appear together under Sessions, below the main menu. Open one to continue its work. Use New session for a different topic; switching an area can restore earlier work rather than start a blank conversation.
The main OffPress Settings controls hosting and work on the site. CMS Site settings controls site identity and visitor-account settings. Your personal OffPress account settings are separate from both. See Your account and sign-in.
